Went over all the details of the scooter as well as the local laws regarding where you can and cannot ride. I had a Vespa type scooter, vintage light blue/ aqua colored. Unfortunately, I am 6', 320 lbs. so fitting on this was a little more difficult that for a smaller person. However, I made it work. I pretty much just sat on the back passenger portion of the seat. Poor scooter!! Lol. I really put it to the test. I couldn't get beyond 30-35 mph so drive on the roads relative to that speed. Once I got off the busy roads, I was really able to enjoy just putting around the back roads and on the Islands. Parking is always a breeze too. You experience so much more when not contained within a box while driving around. You can smell the smoke pits fire up in the morning at Melvin's BBQ. You can smell the ocean water, the grassy marshes and the pizza places before you can see them. My wife and I were in town for a wedding, we had some free time so we got in touch with David @Chucktown. From the start to finish, it was a great experience. The scooters are clean and well kept (quick too!), David was very friendly, showed us how to use the scooters and even had a speaker ready for us to jam on the road. I would most definitely use their service when back in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant. Chucktown Scooters is a premier service at a great price! David worked around us and was willing to drop off and pick up whenever and wherever according to our day. We were a group of four, two of us new to riding scooters. After a short tutorial and practice it was easy to ride. We had only a day to see Charleston and this was the way to see the city.
